Who Are We?

Central Florida Postpartum Alliance (CFLPA) is the first non-profit organization in Central Florida for perinatal health and wellness. Central Florida Postpartum Alliance strives to raise awareness and provide support, resources, and assistance to those professionals assisting birthing people impacted by perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs). We offer educational opportunities to professionals so they can better assess and support their client’s needs. We offer specialized referrals and resources for Central Florida families and the community. By connecting professionals who work the whole spectrum of the reproductive timeframe from across Central Florida, the alliance has built a space where members can share valuable resources, develop a sense of camaraderie, and fundraise for related causes. We also exist to destigmatize perinatal mental health in our community and beyond.

Birthing people are not alone and neither are you with supporting them!

Central Florida Postpartum Alliance is here to support all perinatal professionals.

If you are experiencing persistent sadness, anxiety, and a lack of joy during your pregnancy, you may be experiencing a perinatal mood or anxiety disorder (PMAD). 15-20% of birthing people suffer from postpartum depression and anxiety. Up to 10% of fathers experience paternal depression or anxiety. Other issues on the PMAD spectrum include trauma during pregnancy, perinatal obsessive compulsive disorder, postpartum psychosis among others.
